Monumental edificio de fachada plateresca, se empezó a construir hacia el año 1515. El pasado emerge en el Claustro, Iglesia, Coro, Sala Capitular, y se abraza con el presente gracias a una sabia readaptación, conjugada con un interior lleno de obras de arte, en estancias que antaño cobijaron a peregrinos. Pernoctar aquí es todo un lujo: suites con vistas al claustro, regios salones, camas con dosel y un restaurante que ofrece espléndidos platos como: cocido Maragato, ancas de rana, mollejas de ternera, cecina de vaca y chivo y carnes de la montaña.

A luxury hotel five star hotel using a monastery which was originally founded in the twelfth century to provide 'lodging for the poor of Christ' making their pilgrimage to Santiago. The past makes its appearance in the Cloister, Church, Choir and Chapterhouse, and the present in the careful renovation-work, combined with an interior packed with works of art and rooms which gave shelter to pilgrims in times of old. A night's stay here is a real luxury: suites with views of the cloister, stately rooms, and a restaurant which offers: Cocido Maragato (stew) frogs'legs, cured meats of beef and mountain meats. Activities: horseback rides-alpine skiing-indoor football, tennis, frontennis, basketball, handball, hunting, trout fishing, speedboats, golf. Visits: León, cathedral and museum, San Isidoro and museum, casa botines. Valporquero (43 Km.) Astorga and "Maragata" area (46 Km.) Castrillo de los polvazares (50 Km.) Las médulas (125 Km). This Parador has one hundred and seventy twin bedded rooms, fifteen rooms with a double bed and fifteen suites. All the rooms have a private bathroom. Some rooms are specially equipped for the disabled. The rooms are equipped with a telephone, satellite television, safe and a mini bar.
